Volunteer Opportunities

Shopping Assistance:  

• Shoppers assist clients during their once-in-a-lifetime shopping trip.
  

• Volunteers tag furniture items and pack small household items.
  

Some lifting required

Product Sorter:

• Sort, size and clean small household goods donated by residential and corporate donors.
  

• Stock shelves with sorted goods.
  

Transportation Team:

• Drivers and Handlers pick up furniture at corporate and residential sites.
  

• Drivers need valid license and DMV printout.
  

Office Support:

• Answer phones, schedule pick ups, connect clients/donors to community resources.
  

• Check in clients and greet visitors to A Lift Up.
  

• Data entry support (available to interested volunteers).
  

Warehouse Assistance:

• Unload trucks and move donated items to appropriate areas.
  

• Pull client orders and move items to outgoing vehicles.

Group Opportunities Are Available

Groups of 5 to 50 plus are encouraged to join us for a day of service.  Come for 3 hours of hands-on service and learn more about our programs.  A wide variety of projects are available.  Join once a year, once a quarter, or once a month!

We need groups like yours to help us keep up with the supply and demand of our community needs.  We are always short on towels and bedding, pots and pans, dishes, kitchen utensils and a variety of personal hygiene and household products.
